Summary

Under the direction of Metro, Metrolink was approved to construct station enhancements at the Van Nuys Amtrak/Metrolink Station to improve safety and accessibility, and travel times. Adding a new center platform, grade-separated access for pedestrians, and an undercrossing from the platform to the station building and the parking lot.

• Create and implement an outreach schedule to inform the public about the planned station enhancements, project goals, safety tips, and the construction schedule
• Work in conjunction with the project partners (Metro and RailPros) to produce collateral materials which provide an overview and background of the project while incorporating the Goals and Safety Tips
• Conduct six days of platform outreach with alternating shifts to target platform/station users during various times and day
• Provide an Outreach Summary Report to Metrolink and the project partners to illustrate the success of the outreach activities conducted
